Changes to Cards in the March 30 Release

Greetings, Shadowverse fans! In the March 30 (PT) release, we'll be making changes to 5 cards. This is an explanation of what we're changing and why.

What's Changing?

1. Into the Looking Glass's cost will be decreased by 1, and its effect will be changed.
2. Minthe of the Underworld's cost will be decreased by 1, its attack and defense will be decreased, and its effect will be changed.
3. Jormungand's cost will be decreased by 1, and its effect will be changed.
4. Blazing Lion Admiral's cost will be decreased by 1, and its defense will be increased.
5. Vile Violet Dragon's cost will be decreased by 1.

Since these cards are being strengthened, they will not receive a vial bonus when being liquefied.

The Current Game Environment

After going over high-ranking match data from mid-March, we found no top deck archetypes with an overwhelming win or usage rate in either the Rotation or Unlimited formats. We also anticipate the Rotation environment to evolve with the release of World Uprooted on March 29 (PT). We've therefore decided not to change any cards in this format.

The current win rate for players going first in Rotation is 51.9% slightly up from 51.4% in early January. In Unlimited the win rate for players going first is 52.5% slightly down from 52.9% in early January.

As cards leave Rotation we often take the opportunity to determine if cards that once received changes should be returned to their original form. This time we have chosen to change several cards in classes or deck architypes that are not seeing a high win or usage rate. We hope that these changes will promote new decks and a more diverse Unlimited format.

Finally, after careful consideration, Into the Looking Glass, which has been under maintenance, will be returning but with a comprehensive overhaul.

Details

1. Into the Looking Glass's cost will be decreased from 2 to 1 and its effect will be changed.

And its effect will be changed.

Take Two and Open 6 Runs

In order to add the new card set into the Take Two environment, all Take Two and Open 6 runs will be automatically ended. Card changes will not affect any Take Two or Open 6 decks.

Future Changes to Cards

We routinely review match data in the Shadowverse Team. In order to maintain a great game environment, we change card costs and effects and boost the number of vials that are available from liquefying cards when their strength is decreased. This includes both of our constructed formats, Rotation and Unlimited. In addition to the card changes we've made in the past and card changes targeted at Rotation, we will designate cards to have a one-card restriction or card bans for Unlimited.

Any future changes to card costs and effects will be announced in advance, and then changes will generally be made the next day. The next card adjustments are scheduled for April 27 (PT).

Even if there are no changes made to cards, we'll still make an announcement. If emergency changes are deemed necessary, we may make changes, specify restrictions, or specify banned cards before the scheduled update.

That's all for this round. See you next update!
