Changes to Cards in the June 28 Update

Greetings, Shadowverse fans! In the June 28 (PT) update, we'll be making changes to 7 cards. This is an explanation of what we're changing and why.

What's Changing?

1. Unbridled Fury's cost will be decreased by 1.
2. Forge Weaponry's effect will be changed.
3. Undying Resentment's effect will be changed.
4. Call of the Void's effect will be changed.
5. Acolyte's Light's effect will be changed.
6. Dimension Cut's effect will be changed.
7. Puppeteer's Strings's effect will be changed.
8. Different cards for building a Take Two deck.

Since the first 7 cards are being strengthened, they will not receive a vial bonus when being liquefied. Alternate art versions of these cards will also be affected by the same changes.

The Current Game Environment

Looking at high-ranking match data in the Rotation and Unlimited formats from early-June, we found no top deck archetypes with an overwhelming win or usage rate. We also anticipate the Rotation format will change with the release of the Fortune's Hand cards. Therefore, we have decided that there are no cards that need to be weakened at this time.

In this round of card updates, we reviewed the stats of basic cards in today's game environment, given it has been 4 years since the launch of Shadowverse. We decided to strengthen a number of spell cards in hopes of diversifying the card selection when building a deck. We want to do the same with the Take Two format, so we swapped in different basic cards based on the card selection players picked.

Take Two and Open 6 Runs

In order to add the new card set into the Take Two environment, all Take Two and Open 6 runs will be automatically ended. Card changes will not affect any Take Two or Open 6 decks.
Boost Kicker and Gravity Grappler will continue to be unavailable when building a Take Two deck.

Future Changes to Cards

We routinely review match data in the Shadowverse Team. In order to maintain a great game environment, we change card costs and effects and boost the number of vials that are available from liquefying cards when their strength is decreased. This includes both of our constructed formats, Rotation and Unlimited. In addition to the card changes we've made in the past and card changes targeted at Rotation, we will designate cards to have a one-card restriction or card bans for Unlimited.

Any future changes to card costs and effects will be announced in advance, and then changes will generally be made the next day. The next card adjustments are scheduled for July 27 (PT).

Even if there are no changes made to cards, we'll still make an announcement. If emergency changes are deemed necessary, we may make changes, specify restrictions, or specify banned cards before the scheduled update.

That's all for this round. See you next update!
